Air conditioning service in Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas

AC Repair & Air Conditioning Service

Midwest HVACR Solutions diagnoses and repairs residential and selected light commercial air-conditioning systems across Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas. We focus on finding the actual cause of the problem, explaining what we found, and recommending the repair that makes sense for the condition of the equipment.

Book AC Service

Common Air Conditioning Problems We Diagnose

  • AC running but not cooling
  • Outdoor unit not starting
  • Weak airflow or warm supply air
  • Frozen evaporator coil or refrigerant lines
  • Capacitor, contactor, relay or control failures
  • Blower motor and airflow problems
  • Thermostat and low-voltage control issues
  • Refrigerant leaks and low-charge conditions
  • Condensate drain and pump problems
  • System tripping breakers or shutting down on safety controls

We Diagnose Before Recommending Replacement

A cooling problem does not automatically mean you need a new system. We consider the failure, age, overall condition, refrigerant type, repair cost and operating history before recommending the next step. Many systems can still be repaired economically when the equipment is otherwise sound.

If the system has a major failure or repeated problems, we can also explain the replacement options and what would change with newer equipment.

Air Conditioning Replacement Options

When replacement becomes the better option, we evaluate equipment size, ductwork, electrical requirements, airflow, controls and installation conditions instead of simply matching the old outdoor unit.

Many homeowners also choose to compare a modern heat pump rather than replacing an air conditioner with another cooling-only system. See our heat pump page or our HVAC replacement page for more information.

Can you repair refrigerant leaks?
